I respect acting as a craft: Aruna Irani
I don’t watch shows on TV, says Aruna
Veteran film actress Aruna Irani, who is currently seen on Bhagyalakshmi on &TV, is enjoying her stint on television. She says that switching mediums didn’t pose a problem for her. “I have been in front of the camera since I was 10. I respect acting as a craft. Just because I’m on TV and not on the silver screen, doesn’t mean I will compromise on my quality of work. Luckily, there are no fights on set, the younger lot respects me as a senior, otherwise working with badtameez people would be difficult,” she says.
When quizzed if she watches any shows on telly, she responds with a straight no and says that she keeps herself busy with all that’s happening in the share market. She says, “I don’t watch shows on TV. Actually, as soon as I’m free from work, I start tracking what’s happening in the share market.”
Is she in touch with any of her film co-stars, we ask? She says, “When we are on the sets, everybody is close but within two months, you lose touch. So I wouldn’t say I’m in touch with anyone regularly.”
