4 killed in two road accidents
Drivers of the 2 vehicles die on the spot, 2 others die while shifting
Raghunathpalli (Warangal), Adilabad: Three persons including two women were killed in a ghastly road accident that took place at Raghunathpalli on Sunday. The accident took place near Govardha-nagiri village in Raghunathpalli when a van and an RTC bus collided head on. All passengers in the bus are safe.
The deceased were identified as Dareti Prabhakar, Vijaya and Padmavathi. While Prabhakar, who was driving the van died on the spot, Vijaya and Padmavathi, who got stuck inside the van and injured grievously, died while being shifted to hospital. Two other women and two kids who were also travelling in the same van escaped with minor injuries. All the family members belong to Matwada area in Warangal.
According to Raghunath-palli CI Satish, the family members were returning to Warangal from a family function in Nalgonda. The driver of the van lost control near Govardhanagiri village and collided head on with an RTC bus which was on its way to Hyderabad from Warangal.Meanwhile, a junior assistant working in road transport department died when the car in which he was travelling hit a tree on National Highway 222 near Pottapelli village on Sunday. The victim, Vinit Rao, 28, was on his way to Nirmal from Khanapur. He died on the spot when he hit the tree.
