Andhra Pradesh plans TV channel for Shaivites Shaivism boost
If every thing goes as per plans, the new TV channel will be on air within a year
Ongole: The AP endowments department will soon start a Bhakti TV channel to propagate Shaivism on the lines of TTD’s SVBC TV channel.
The state government has already applied for permission to start the channel. The existing equipment of the SVBC Bhakti channel has the capacity to telecast another five TV channels and officials of the SVBC TV channel will look after administration and maintenance of the new TV channel. If every thing goes as per plans, the new TV channel will be on air within a year.
The government’s aim is to ensure important programmes reach viewers in Srisailam Devasatanam, Draksharamam, Kotappakonda, Tripuranthakam, Amaravati, Sri Kalahasti and Satrasala and the other Siva temples in the country. The government also plans to develop the Srisailam temple on the lines of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala.
