Hyderabad: Police raided a house in Kamalapuri Colony area and arrested nine persons who were allegedly playing cards. Cops seized Rs 1.28 lakh in cash and nine mobiles. A case under AP gaming act was registered.

On Sunday night, a West Zone Task Force team raided the flat of the organiser M. Nagendra Babu in Susheetha residency in Kamalapuri colony in Srinagar colony.

Nagendra Babu was organising three card games at his flat for the past few months, by taking commission from interested candidates.

“Nagendra organised the racket and people from the surroundings of Srinagar colony including Venkatagiri and Madhuranagar were involved in the game,” said task force DCP, B Limba Reddy.

Cops seized Rs 1.28 lakh cash and nine mobiles and handed them over to Banjara Hills Police for further investigation.

A cheating case under section 420 of IPC and sections 3 & 4 of AP Gaming Act were registered against the arrested persons. Police is investigating the case.
