Hyderabad: No water to some areas
This crisis is likely to be overcome in a week
Hyderabad: Water will not be supplied to Kukatpally, Serilingampally and its surrounding areas on December 2 and 3 due to depletion of water levels in the Manjeera barrage.
The areas that will be hit for the next two days are KPHB Colony, Bhagyanagar, Banjara Hills, Yousufguda, Erragadda and Borabanda.
The HMWS&SB will deploy tankers from other divisions to meet the the minimum drinking water requirements.
This crisis is likely to be overcome in a week on further supplementation from the Godavari source, authorities said.
At the same time, the water board will also be supplying 14 mgd water to these areas from Godavari and 5 mgd from Krishna Phase-III from Prashashanagar on Wednesday.
Diversion works at water junctions at Lingampally and KPHB are also being taken up.
