SmartCity road to be over by December 10

The second phase from Kinfra to Brahmapuram will be completed by December 6

Kochi: Work on the four-lane road proposed to the Smart City at Kakkanad will be completed by December 10. PWD Secretary A P M Mohammed Hanish who visited the site on Tuesday gave instructions on each phase of the road work.

The first phase from Infopark Carnival to Kinfra park gate will be completed by December 4. A BMBC road is being built in this area and a median is being built in the area.   

The second phase from Kinfra to Brahmapuram will be completed by December 6. The third phase from Carnival to IMG Junction will be completed by December 10.

KSEB has started proceedings to remove its posts in the area that block the expansion. The PWD has sought the help of Infopark for the expansion including removal of parked vehicles in the area. Infopark CEO Rishikesh Nair has offered all help in this regard.

Police help will be sought wherever necessary including regulation of traffic. The PWD secretary has issued directions to the KRL-BPCL company to provide bitumen for the roadworks  uninterruptedly.
