Bengaluru: To put an end to traffic woes faced by the commuters and the cold response from BBMP, the Electronics City traffic police took up the road repair work on Wednesday morning on Naganathapura on Hosur Road.

Considered as one of the busiest junctions, the damaged road has led to the junction being the site for constant traffic snarls. When repeated reminders to the concerned authorities didn’t yield any result, the traffic cops at Electronics City police took it upon themselves and called for a JCB to start the road repair work.

Speaking to DC, Traffic Electronics City police officer, Mohammad said, “Due to the bad road near Singasandra junction on Hosa Road in Naganathapura, the traffic was constantly backed up leading to a gridlock situation. On Wednesday morning, my staff members called a JCB and filled craters and did the patch work.”

He further said that in a bid to ease the vehicular movement on the above said road, the police have also informed commuters by releasing a circular regarding the route diversion. “The route diversion was introduced on Tuesday and was implemented on Wednesday. The vehicular movement from Naganathapura junction from service road was restricted and hence made one way. The commuters now have to take diversion at Konappana Agrahara junction only.”

The road looks comparatively better now and the traffic flow is also running smooth. The police have decided to strictly implement the change in route diversion.
