Day-time passenger flights to operate from Chennai airport tomorrow
DGCA will review the situation for night operations tomorrow, says AAI.
New Delhi: Domestic passenger flight operations from Chennai airport, which were suspended, will resume from Sunday morning.
The runway, however, will be available only for day-time operations and a decision regarding full-fledged operations will be taken by the aviation regulator DGCA, Airports Authority of India said tonight.
"Day-time all weather operations for domestic commercial flights from Chennai airport will commence from 6 am tomorrow," the AAI said in a statement.
The AAI had decided to shut the airport till December 6 in the wake of battering rains that left the facility unusable.
"DGCA will review the situation for night operations tomorrow," the statement said.
