Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy alleged that the minister was trying to make the officials as scapegoats to cover up his own failures

NelloreUrban development minster, Dr P. Narayana, came under fire for chiding the senior officials of Nellore Municipal Corporation. Stressing that the officials worked day and night during recent heavy rains, YSRC legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy criticised the minister for reprimanding honest and sincere officials.

He sought to know the details of funds allotted by Dr Narayana, being an urban development minister to the NMC in the hometown. Referring to assurances given by the minister during last 18 months, he asked the minister to come out with details on promises he fulfilled so far.

Stressing that the minister failed to bring any funds to develop Nellore, the legislator ridiculed the minister for his midnight reviews and predawn tours in city causing hardships to the officials. He alleged that the minister was trying to make the officials as scapegoats to cover up his own failures.

He suggested him to take the advice of seniors in TD such as Mr Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Mr Adala Prabhakar Reddy, Mr Beeda Ravichandra, Mr Ramesh Reddy and Mr Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy to handle the crisis instead of targeting the hardworking officials.

"Since you don't have the habit of consulting opposition parties even during calamities, you speak at least with seniors in your alliance partner BJP and take up relief measures for flood-hit victims," Mr Sridhar Reddy said adding that he is only making suggestions to the minister and not criticising him.
