Hyderabad: The headless body of man was found in Manchala area in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday night. K. Kiran Kumar’s,22, body was found on the roadside by his friends who were with him till half an hour before the incident. His head was found by the Manchal police a few meters away. Police say that Kiran might have been killed by the family of a woman with whom he had been having an affair for the last few months.
Investigation officials said that the assailants tried to make it look like a road accident by damaging his bike and inflicting injuries on Kiran’s knees. A case for murder has been booked and a few suspects are being interrogated. Kiran, who was a painter from Yacharam, was returning from Manchal village along with two of his friends at 8.30 pm on Sunday after attending a wedding function. He was on his bike and his two friends were on another one.
“They were on the Rangapuram road, which leads to the Sagar State Highway, and his friends were ahead of him. When his friends reached Rangapuram village, they could not see his bike behind them. They stopped there and had some snacks while trying to call him over phone. However, there was no response from his side,” said Manchal Police Inspector Mr M. Gangadhar.
“The duo then decided to go back searching for him. A few kilometers behind, they found his damaged vehicle and his headless body on the roadside,” added the Inspector. “It looks like somebody cut the head off using weapons. The vehicle is also completely damaged. A road accident cannot decapitate this way,” added Mr Gangadhar. In the preliminary inquiry, police found that Kiran was allegedly having illicit relationships with a few married women. “Locals say he had relationships with two married women from the next village. There is also unconfirmed information that he had visited one of them on Sunday morning. However, we are probing all possible angles,” said an investigating official.
