Sunrise Startup hunts for funds
Osure targets to raise $75K through crowd-funding
Visakhapatnam: The startups incubated in the Sunrise Startup Village are now gearing up to raise funds for their products through crowd-funding campaign and venture into the market.
Most of the wannabe tech-entrepreneurs who came up with innovative ideas, a couple of months ago, are ready with their products and are hunting for investors and funding.
Osure, a healthcare wearable device, accompanied with a smart app, is the first startup from the Sunrise incubation centre to go for crowd-funding. The team started a campaign on international crowd-funding website Indiegogo to raise a fund of $75,000.
“We have designed a product with high precision sensors that help users track the body vitals and stress-levels. This data is analysed by universal healthcare app - HealthSmart so that during any abnormal fluctuations in the vitals an immediate warning is issued to the user and their loved ones and if critical situation still persists the emergency care services are informed,” said founder of product Amar.
“The best part about Osure is that it is the first wearable in the world that is designed to fit people of all ages, socks for infants, watch strap for adults and chest strap for the elderly. We are all set with our business plan and product and trying our best to raise fund for the manufacturing,” the founder added. The startup has also been shortlisted for presentation in the Top 8 of IoTNext Summit scheduled on Dec. 10 in Bengaluru.
“The product has pote-ntial to attract investors and perhaps it is the first one in AP to go for crowd-funding. More-over, the team is doing the campaign on Indeigogo, a website with traffic from US-based investors,” said Startup head Siddharth Ram said.
