Hyderabad: Stating that the Opposition is contesting the MLC elections only to save itself from being wiped out, irrigation minister T. Harish Rao on Wednesday said that the TRS would win all the 12 seats with a thumping majority.

“People have immense faith in the TRS government and its policies. People don’t trust the Opposition. The Opposition parties are contesting only for namesake,” he said.

Mr Harish Rao accompanied TRS Medak nominee Bhupal Reddy who filed his nomination papers at Sangareddy. To a question, he said he would strive to ensure a bigger margin of victory for the TRS nominee compared to other constituencies.

“Bhupal Reddy will win hands down. But our efforts would be to ensure a bigger margin in Medak,” Mr Harish Rao said.
