Saudi cadet wins naval regatta cup

18 foreign teams attend the event at Naval Academy.

KOZHIKODE: Ebrahim Showaiter, a cadet from Saudi Arabia won all the races of the ‘Admiral’s Cup’, an International Sailing Regatta at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala conducted at Ettikulam Bay on Thursday.
 
The Admiral’s Cup Regatta 2015 was officially inaugurated on December 9. The event has a record participation of 18 foreign teams including  Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, UAE, USA  and United Kingdom. India is represented by INA and NDA Khadakwasla teams.
 
In total, forty participants including four lady participants from Australia, USA and Germany displayed their 'racing' skills on Thursday.
