Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Hyderabad High Court to expedite hearing on day to day basis, of petitions pending before it with regard to distribution of power sector employees among AP and Telangana states.

A two-member bench comprising Justice M.Y. Iqbal and Justice Nagappan was hearing a plea by about 1,156 employees of APDiscom, APTransco and APGenco seeking intervention of the Apex Court to resolve their distribution issue.

The petitioners brought to the notice of the court that the TS Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd and Telangana Power Generation Corporations have passed orders allotting them to the AP.

Aggrieved by the action they had approached the High Court, in the meantime the authorities have passed the orders relieving them from their existing postings.
