Actors join hands for ‘Clean Chennai’
The recent deluge and its aftermath have brought all the artistes, big and small, to work in unison during the crisis.

Would you have ever imagined that Kollywood stars would take up the task of sweepers and cleaners to clear the dirty streets of Chennai? We have seen them doing it in movies. But the recent deluge and its aftermath have brought all the artistes, big and small, to work in unison during the crisis. The Rescue Chennai and Next Step Foundation joined hands and started their operation cleaning in the city after accomplishing rescue, relief and medical services in flood-affected areas. Now, it’s time for cleaning.
Starting from Boopathy Nagar in Egmore, several artistes like Karthi, Arya, Rajesh, JK. Ritheesh, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Lalitha Kumari, Udhaya, Mahendhiran, Soudhar Rajan, Sriman, Prem Kumar, Hema Chandhiran were spotted wearing masks and carrying broomsticks and disinfectants.
