Bail rejected for terror suspect

BENGALURU: The high court on Thursday has dismissed the plea of Mehboob Bagalkote, a terror suspect who had sought for bail on medical grounds.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had filed charge sheet against 12 men including Mehboob, who are suspected to belonging to terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. They were by arrested by CCB, which had registered a case against the suspects at Basaveshwara Nagar police station and arrested 15 suspects from various cities, including Hubbali and Hyderabad in 2012.
According to the investigation the men had hatched a conspiracy to commit terrorist activities India with the help of LeT supported network of operatives based abroad and their associates in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The high court rejected the bail on the ground that the offences were of serious in nature.
