Pet shop seized in raid
GHMC West Zone officials along with a People for Animals volunteers seized the Star pet shop.

Hyderabad: GHMC West Zone officials along with a People for Animals volunteers seized the “Star pet shop” located at 6-92/6 Gangaram in Chandanagar Saturday, as it was operating without licence and allegedly starving animals and caging them in unhygienic conditions. The animals were a PUG female of a year old, a German shepherd male of four months and a Labrador puppy of two months. According to D. Joshi, CEO of People for Animals, “The dogs were kept starving and in an unhygienic condition. They were sent to the animal care clinic,” Dr Lakshmi Ramana and Dr Tapsvi said the condition of the dogs was not good and they needed medical attention. Dr.Abdul Vakeel, asstaint director of west zone GHMC Lingampally seized the pet shop owned by Shaik fakrudduin Ali, a resident of Medak district.
