Second tiger seen at Kawal reserve
Kawal’s buffer has around five tigers.
Hyderabad: The Kawal Tiger Reserve is springing back to life. On Friday a second tiger was captured by the camera trap in the core area of the reserve. This is the second tiger captured by camera in Kawal's core area. The new tiger is a young male aged around four years and was captured by camera in the Rampur beat of the forest.
The tiger reserve’s core area did not have tigers since 2012 until a tigress was spotted some months ago. This was captured by camera last month.
Another tiger is moving in and out of the core area but has not been caught on camera yet. Kawal’s buffer has around five tigers. The reserve is an important part of the tiger corridor. between Tadoba Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra and Indravati in Chattisgarh.
