Two Indian criminals gunned down in Nepal: Police

The bodies will be handed over to Indian authorities after post-mortem.

Kathmandu: Two alleged criminals from India were gunned down by an unidentified gang in south east Nepal, police said on Sunday.

Mukesh Kumar and Kapil Kumar Rae of Sitamadi district in Bihar was gunned down in Sarlahi district on Saturday evening, they said.

They were in the "criminal list" of Indian police, Nepali Police was quoted as saying by My Republica.

The bodies were recovered this morning, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sarlahi, Ramesh Kumar Khadka said. Both have been shot from behind.

The bodies will be handed over to Indian authorities after post-mortem at a hospital, the report said.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police of Sitamadi district, Hari Prasath, said Kumar and Rae were charged with murder, dacoity and under arms act. He said relatives of the criminals have gone to Nepal receive the bodies.
