Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is back on track. The film had a bad run on various fronts, but seems like the makers have sprung the project back to life. The unit, while shooting in West Bengal, had disagreements with the Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India.

Around 40 workers withdrew from the sets in Burdwan alleging non-payment of dues. After this was resolved, the team moved to Bolpur where the same issue resurfaced.

After this, word had spread that director Kushan Nandy has shelved the project, but that’s not true. The director recently met actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui during his shoot in Kolkata where he is working with Amitabh Bachchan and got the actor’s dates.

When contacted Kushan confirmed, “Talks are on and we will start shooting early next year.” Chitrangada Singh and Tahir Bhasin are the other actors in the film.
