Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman and Anirudh Ravichander, one of the hot properties in K’town, will be doing their bit towards helping the rain-affected people in Chennai by donating the proceeds from their forthcoming concerts towards rehabilitating their lives.
Anirudh Ravichander wrote on Twitter, “Landed in Toronto. Thanks to all the fans who welcomed us at the airport. Dedicating the concert and proceeds to the Chennai floods victims (sic).” Rahman, who will be conducting two concerts in Chennai and Coimbatore in January next year, has announced that part of the proceeds will go to the rehabilitation of the city. “Chennai floods to rebuild lives for continued solidarity. ARR LIVE 2016, 16th Jan (sic),” wrote Rahman on Twitter. Titled Nenje Ezhu, the concert, will be held in Chennai and Coimbatore on January 16 and January 23 respectively. On the other hand, Yuvan Shankar Raja is touring across Coimbatore and Madurai as well. The recent we hear on this is that both Rahman’s and Yuvan’s concert in Coimbatore falls on the same date!
