Accusing Taylor Swift of stealing stuff seems to have become a thing, with an artist now claiming that the  singer stole fan art that she had created and published it without giving her due credit.

In an open letter the artist, Ally Burguieres, wrote, “I know it’s easy to think that someone might do something like this just for attention or to get money... I respect Taylor, and I’ve bought her albums. I don’t consider myself not a fan, but I don’t appreciate these transgressions against art,” adding, that she wanted to see Taylor “respect the rights and value of other artists”.

Taylor has admitted to using the image on her Facebook page but denies “stealing” it, with a spokesperson issuing this statement: “A fan has stated that she created the watercolor drawing of a fox, added some of Taylor’s lyrics and signed the artwork as her own, posting it. Ms Swift, believing it to be the fan’s original work, reposted the fan’s art, with her own comment, continuing the social media conversation.”

The statement went on to explain that Ally had never contacted them directly, and accused her of using the incident as publicity for her art gallery.
