Dhaka: A complaint against Bangladesh cricketer Anamul Haque has been lodged for allegedly stabbing his neighbour. Anamul Haque, who is a resident of Kushtia, not only stabbed young Motaleb Hossain Bappy, but also beat him up if Bappy’s father Abdul Halim’s is to be believed. Halim lodged a complaint against the cricketer with Kushtia Model Police Station, while the cricketer’s family is learnt to do the same against Abdul Halim and his son Bappy. Halim is a resident of Aruapara and according to some reports, his son Bappy had a row with Anamul’s father following which the cricketer lost his cool and the massacre took place.

Sources informed that Anamul’s father, Jamil Hossain Lichu happens to be a tenant of Abdul Halim and has been living in the house for the past four years. Bappy, on Sunday evening, had some unpleasant exchange of words with Hossain which led to a physical fight. According to the complaint, Bappy was beaten up by the cricketer and a gang known to be his close friends with several weapons, including a cricket bat used so.

The Officer-in-charge of Kushtia Police Station, Biplob Kumar Nath, surprisingly revealed that both the families have lodged complaint against each other regarding the matter. The police is looking into the matter for further investigation. Anamul, when asked about the incident, said that Bappy is a ‘Drug Addict’. He also said, “Bapppy himself attacked us when my younger brother and I went to his house and asked why he misbehaved with my father,” as quoted by The Daily Star, a Bangladeshi news agency. Anamul is currently in Dhaka and is playing in the Bangladesh Premier League 2015-16 edition for the Chittagong Vikings.
