8 year old sings her way to records
Aryananda is looking forward to perform more non-stop musical shows
Kozhikode: For eight-year-old Aryananda R Babu, more than Barbie dolls and princess Leia and lady Agnes dolls, her interest is to play with the sruthi box and musical instruments that could help her improve her tender vocals. This child prodigy who has taken the breath out of everyone with her single non- stop live singing has entered the Limca Book of Records.
A student at St Joseph's English Medium School, Vellimadukunnu, Aryananda is a trained classical singer and has performed for numerous classical music concerts in and around Malabar zone. It was recently at Town Hall that her parents organised a musical concert where Aryananda performed 25 different songs from movies including classical music without a break.
Her mother Indu M, a music examiner and singing teacher, said her daughter had shown musical ability since the age of two and sang everything from classical music to movie songs. Her father is Rajesh Babu, musical trainer at Al Haramain School.
"You don't realise how much children absorb - yes she had an advantage because of our background in music, but still, we are really proud of her talent at this tender age. She has been singing her head off from the age of two", said Indu.
"Her repertoire is just staggering - she knows everything. We are very proud of her and excited about her capability and potential, but we are not pushy parents. She is still just a child, we don't want to take the enjoyment out of her childhood," adds the proud mother.
