Basti, Uttar Pradesh: The beheaded bodies were recovered on Wednesday and police had to rely on the victims' mobile phone to identify the duo as Malti and Anita (18), residents of the Duhara area.
The headless bodies of a 48-year- old woman and her daughter were found near railway tracks in Basti, police said on Thursday.
The beheaded bodies were recovered on Wednesday and police had to rely on the victims' mobile phone to identify the duo as Malti and Anita (18), residents of the Duhara area. The bodies were found lying behind a sugar mill in the Purani Basti area here, police said.
Inquiries are on into the matter, they said, adding that the bodies have been sent for a post-mortem.
