Excise Minister guards beat up biker in Secunderabad

The minister was reportedly in his car in the convoy at that time.

Hyderabad: Excise minister T. Padma Rao’s gunmen were booked for allegedly beating up a 21-year-old man, the son of a sessions judge, on Wednesday night in Secunderabad.
 
Mr K. Ganesh had entered the main road from a lane opposite the YMCA junction and was heading towards the St John’s rotary when the pilot vehicle of the minister’s convoy hit his bike. Mr Ganesh fell down and suffered minor injuries. 
 
“When he questioned them, two gunmen got down from the vehicle and started beating him up,” said Marredpally inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao.
 
The minister was reportedly in his car in the convoy at that time.
 
Mr Ganesh, son of the II additional metropolitan sessions judge in the Ranga Reddy district court, was returning to his home in West Marredpally at about 8.30 pm when the incident occurred.
 
Based on Mr Ganesh’s complaint, a case was booked under IPC Section 324 (causing hurt) and Section 279 (rash driving) were registered.
