Hyderabad: The residents of Annapurna Colony in Mallapur were shocked to see that the shutters of the Bank of India branch there were only half closed. While two shutters were locked the third was only pulled down but not locked. The residents informed the police and they called the staffers and told them to close the shutter properly.

On Wednesday at around 9 pm, one Rajshekar working in a bike repair shop nearby noticed that one of the shutters were not locked and informed the police. Police called manager Sundari but she said she was on leave. “Later we called the in-charge manager. She and a guard came and locked the shutter,” inspector N. Pravinder Rao said.

The police asked the staff to be more careful and to station a guard at the bank’s ATM.
