CHENNAI: A day after a Tanzanian national studying at Madras University was allegedly involved in a fracas with non-teaching staff, his study at risk in the university is on unstable grounds.
According to Prakash M, a student at the college: “Bob Mohana had questioned the Registrar as to why his friends were beaten up. For this, abuses were hurled at him and his nation.” Bob reportedly got a message from the Tanzania High Commission stating his admission to the university could be termiated from the college due to three reasons, one being misconduct. University Registrar David Jawahar said no action had been taken by the college. Whatever action that will be taken, will be on the embassy’s order, not the university’s, he said.
