How many times have you shared those posts on social media where someone did something adorable for a little puppy? Well, one such post made people in Hyderabad go “Aww”. Sandeep Reddy Yetthapu, head of operations at 3Ding, 3D printed a leg for a duck.

Sandeep says, “One of my acquaintances, Rajesh, who knew that we were into 3D printing, asked if we could help out a little duck in Rajahmundry. The duck had lost its leg when it was small and had been walking on one leg. And the caretaker at the Ram Krishna Math had no idea how to help the little duck.”

So 10 days ago, when he received the enquiry, Sandeep started researching on how he could go ahead with the idea. And he also decided that he would do it for free. “I asked for the dimensions of the duck and then printed it finally on Thursday. It took us over three hours to print the leg. But, it feels so nice to know that the duck can now walk properly,” he says.

And his post on social media too has garnered a lot of attention. “There have been so many shares and so many likes since we posted it on Thursday. Whoever is new to 3D printing, is amazed that something like this can actually happen.”
