A strange night
Express Raja’s audio event with Prabhas as chief guest had its share of bloopers.
On Saturday night, at an event marking the release of Express Raja’s audio, a very out-of-character Prabhas turned up as chief guest. The film stars actors Sharwanand and Surabhi in lead roles. The project is being produced by UV Creations run by Pramod and Vamsi — Prabhas’ cousin and friend.
The event started off alright but soon hit an awkward pause when a very excited Dil Raju jokingly announced that, “UV Creations was a benami company belonging to Prabhas”.
“So, it’s Prabhas all the way and I know his fans will help make the film a huge hit,” he quickly added.
And when it was time for Prabhas’ turn to talk, something unusual happened. The Baahubali star was talking about actor Sharwanand when he reached out to the wrong person on the stage — the film’s editor Satya. The very embarrassed Satya then immediately removed Prabhas’ hand from his shoulder and then frantically pointed towards Sharwanand — who was standing next to Prabhas. The Mirchi star quickly recovered from the Satya blooper saying, “he could be a hero too later.”
The actor later began talking and many couldn’t help notice the wide eyes and slurred speech — not typical of Prabhas at all! Prabhas’ error was not the only blooper of the night. When Surabhi was called on stage for a speech (all credits to her though for speaking in Telugu) she ended up saying, “Prabhas is a big fan of me”, instead of the opposite.
The anchor of the event quickly rushed towards her and whispered a correction in her ear. Surabhi then continued to cheer for the movie and said it the project a “learning experience”. It sure was.
