BJP aims to rule the state, says Kummanam Rajasekharan
Idealistic politics was declining in the state.
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State President Kummanam Rajasekharan has said that the BJP was contesting for the coming assembly elections not to open its account but to rule the state by winning more than 71 seats.
Mr Rajasekharan was speaking at a meet the press organised by the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club after assuming charge as the BJP state president.
Idealistic politics was declining in the state. The leadership of the Congress and CPM was responsible for this situation, Mr Rajasekharan said. I took up the post following request from the leadership of the RSS and the BJP, Mr Rajasekharan said.
Mr Rajasekharan who was the Hindu Aikya Vedi state general secretary assumed office at 10.30 am at BJP headquarters Mararji Bhavan here with outgoing president V Muraleedharan officially handed over the charge. Those present included senior leaders O Rajagopal and P K Krishnadas.
