CoimbatoreFilm actor Silambarasan alias Simbu and music composer Anirudh, who have been summoned by Race Course police here in connection with their ‘beep’ song,  have sought more time to appear before police.

Simbu is pre-occupied with his already committed projects for about a month, while Anirudh is abroad for a music concert. The Coimbatore city police had issued summons asking them to appear on Saturday for indecent representation of women in their ‘beep song’.

Anirudh’s lawyer P Senthilkumar sought a week’s time for the music composer to appear before police.  As the composer is preoccupied with a concert in Toronto dedicated to  flood victims in Tamil Nadu, his lawyer had sought a week’s time for appearance before police.

Similarly, Simbu’s family had written to police claiming that the actor may not be available for a month due to his commitments and sought more time.  On receiving their replies, the city police decided to give more time for them to appear.
