Thrissur: Kodungallur MLA T. N. Prathapan, who had filed a complaint against SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan for his alleged hate speech on November 29, handed over the CD of the speech to the police on Monday.

The Aluva police recorded his statement  at  Ramanilayam  government guest house here. Mr Prathapan, who also gave the  paper cuttings of  the speech made by Mr Natesan at Aluva, said   it was not a slip of the tongue because
Mr Natesan, instead of  withdrawing   the statement, had repeated it in his press conference later.

The police have   registered a case against Mr Natesan under section 153A of the IPC for trying to create enmity between different religious segments.
