Mumbai: Bollywood’s King Khan, SRK, who was in Kolkata to promote his recently released film ‘Dilwale’ along with co-star Kajol, said that he regrets his film’s box office collection.

Shah Rukh Khan regretted that his film was adversely affected as its screening was stopped in some places by those who ‘misconstrued’ and ‘misinterpreted’ his ‘religious intolerance’ comment.

Shah Rukh's statement on 'religious intolerance' angered Bajrang Dal activists, who then opposed the film's screening in Araria and Patna districts of Bihar. Protests also took place in Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Jabalpur and many places in Rajasthan.

SRK is upset with the protests against the film and revealed that it made him sad when his work could not reach everyone as that was the only way he could return the people's love for him.

The actor asked everyone to go and enjoy the film not for him but for thousands of those who made the film with a lot of love.
