We’re just a few days away from one of the biggest cinematic releases in a long while. But fans would’ve notice a conspicuous absence of posters and banners announcing the latest Star Wars movie: the Force Awakens.

According to sources, cinemas can’t do much to publicise their screenings because of the copyrights being held by the distributors and the creators of the characters. Sources say a very similar problem arose when the Harry Potter movies were being released in the city — not everyone can just print a poster as all publicity material has to be passed by the owners.

Walt Disney is releasing Star Wars: Force Awakens in India, and the firm is planning a major rollout with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu across over, 1,000 screens.
Also, the movie is enjoying significant brand partnership in India —with over 50 brand partners —including a major bank!
