India, Germany and Holland in same hockey pool at Rio Olympics

New Delhi: Eight-time champions India have been clubbed alongside title holders Germany and World No.2 Netherlands in Pool ‘B’ in the men’s hockey competitons of the 2016 Rio Olympics. The other teams in India’s pool are Argentina (ranked 6th), Ireland (12) and Canada (14). Teams in Pool ‘A’ include reigning world champions Australia, Great Britain, Belgium, New Zealand, Spain and hosts Brazil. Meanwhile, India’s women have been placed alongside Argentina, Australia, Britain, USA and Japan in Pool ‘B’.
