They’re partying like there’s no tomorrow! And why not. The city police have lifted curfew on the nightlife deadline of 11 pm extending it to 1 am and the young party peeps are looking forward to letting their hair down in stunning surrounds with live music, DJ, dance floors at some of the swankiest hotspots serving the finest brews and cocktails with a gastronomic spread. We chat up with some of the party animals on the plans they’re making for an unparalleled experience to close 2015 on a good note.
Nikhil Kamath, (29) ceo of Zerodha has already begun celebrating the last week of December, as he reveals, “I was partying last night at the Catholic Club and I’m still nursing a hangover. We have a large group of friends who party like crazy. We have planned to party every night the next seven nights and explore some of the new night clubs that have opened recently. Why not make the most of the extended deadline?”
To make sure they’re not wandering and looking for a place to celebrate the countdown to the New Year’s Eve, Rahul Cherian (29) who works at Chefkraft states, “We are going to be partying till late night every single night. We were out partying till 3 am on Christmas Eve. This is the best time to catch up with friends and soak in some revelry. We like retro music, so we our choice of party places will depend on which pub is playing good retro and also some commercial music.”
For singer Eric Jonsson (22), it seems like a season of laughing all the way to the bank, while making merry. “I sing and perform live at pubs and restaurants and this is the busiest time of the year for me. I’m so happy about the extended nightlife deadline, as I’m booked every day of this week, so it’s a great season for me as youngsters in the city will be partying till late and look forward to something different.”
