Poultry feed racket busted in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A racket mixed sand, PDS rice, and husk to make fake poultry feed on a  large scale on the city outskirts. A poultry feed manufacturing unit  in Pahadi Shareef had been selling this adulterated products to  various farms across the state for a lesser price for the the last six  months, police said. A special operation team of Cyberabad Police busted the racket.
 
“A large quantity of sand was kept in a heap along with husk. Bagsful of PDS rice have also been smuggled in. Workers  from the nearest village were mixing it to be sold to farms," said SOT  inspector Narsingh Rao.

The man who ran the unit, Srinath, a resident of LB Nagar, fled the place when the police raided the unit. Cops have  launched a manhunt to arrest him.
