Former minister Metla Satyanarayana cremated in Amalapuram

Party general secretary Lokesh took part in the funeral service

Amalapuram: Last rites were performed to the former minister Dr. Metla Satyanarayana with full state honours near KIMS hospital in Amalapuram on Saturday. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu along with his son and party general secretary Lokesh took part in the funeral service and offered floral tributes to the departed leader .

He consoled Dr. Metla Satyanarayana’s son Ramana Babu and his son-in-law and Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that he lost a personal friend and the party lost a great leader in the death of  Metla Satyanarayana and appreciated his role in growth of the party.

The former minister had breathed his last while undergoing medical treatment at NIMS in Hyderabad on Friday and his body was brought to Amalapuram. Deputy CM N. Chinarajappa, Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, endowme-nts minister P. Manikyala Rao and several MPs, MLAs and other public representatives took part in the funeral of the late leader.
