Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has ruled out any investigation into the letter row saying no probe can be conducted on the basis of ‘Breaking news’ on TV channels.

“It is the people who have to  evaluate the performance of  the government and  not individuals,” he told reporters at the  Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology(RIT), Pampady,  on Saturday. Referring to the controversial letter allegedly sent by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala to the Congress high command, he said,  “There is no need to  discuss a letter which does not exist,” he added.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who will inaugurate the silver jubilee celebrations of the RIT on Wednesday, will hold talks with the UDF  leaders. She will reach Nattakom guest house and leave for Pampady  by 2.30 p.m., he said.
