Help us save black bucks: Pilibhit tiger reserve’s request to Salman Khan

The organisation emphasized on the fact that tourism actually helps in conservation of the wildlife.

Mumbai: Salman Khan has been invited by the administration of Pilibhit tiger reserve which boasts of a sizable population of black bucks to help them conserve the endangered species.

"Happy b'day @BeingSalmanKhan. We invite u to come to Pilibhit sanctuary where we have Black Bucks (sic) & many endangered species. It's time to prove u actually care for Mother Earth. Ur single visit or retweet will help to save hundreds of wildlife creatures in Pilibhit" tweeted @TigerReservePBT.

The website emphasizes the fact that the tourism actually helps in conservation of the wildlife as tourists also act as an extra eye for the forest department.

Salman was convicted and sentenced to one-year and five-year prison terms in separate cases of poaching of two Chinkaras at Bhawad and one black buck at Ghoda Farm (Mathania) near Jodhpur in September 1998. The actor had approached the Rajasthan high court in 2007 which stayed his conviction. However, in a setback to Khan in January this year, the Supreme Court had set aside the high court order.
