Andhra Pradesh government signs MoU with Japanese prefecture
Both sides must constitute agencies to co-ordinate, execute and assess activities agreed upon.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Japansese prefecture, pledging co-operation in diverse sectors, an official said on Monhday.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu signed the MoU with Takakazu Ishii, Governor of Toyama prefecture of Japan, and decided to co-operate in economic, academic, tourism, cultural and pharmaceutical sectors, a press release said.
Both the sides have to constitute competitive agencies to co-ordinate, execute and assess the activities agreed upon, it said.
On the occasion, Naidu appealed to the Toyama Governor to invest in the state's pharmaceutical sector, it said, adding, he also briefed the Japanese delegation on the natural, human resources offered by the state.
