Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has denied the charge raised by  SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan  that he has been targeting him for the last 18 years and carrying on with  personal vendetta.

“It is not my call to politically haunt Vellapally, but I have been  against his stand,”  Mr  Sudheeran said after inaugurating the Sevadal founders’ day celebration at Indira Bhavan here.

Mr Sudheeran criticised the court  for not taking seriously the controversial speech made by Mr Natesan  at Aluva last month.   “The speech instigates communal violence and whoever has seen the video will vouch for it,” he said.

Law is applicable to Vellapally too. The fact that he is the Yogam leader does not allow him to be above law,” said  Mr Sudheeran.

Mr Natesan had said on Saturday that  Mr Sudheeran had been politically haunting him for  the last 18 years.   “Mr Sudheeran is haughty and has  lost  mass support and the party support.  He does not realise that he is digging his own grave after he has launched a personal vendetta against me,”  Mr Natesan  alleged.

“There are lots of traitors within the Ezhava community. This is why  Sudheeran is still against me  though the court didn’t see anything adverse against my  Aluva speech,” he said.

He would face all the litigation in the court and was willing to go to jail, he added.
