Hyderabad: Women disc jockeys are in huge demand this party season. While many claim that it is a sure-shot way to get crowds at the parties, others say that a combination of men and women DJs on 31st night works well.

DJ Manish said, “Female DJs add to the glamour factor and attract crowds. But every female DJ has a male DJ assisting her. Hence a combo factor is at work.”

While most DJs stick to Bollywood remixes as that is the most sought-after music in party circles, there are a very few select places in the city where hard rock and Western music is popular.

Unlike last year, when there were 10 big parties, there will be only three this year.

Event manager Vishal Kumar said, “Big parties with crowds of 4000 people require proper management. Often people have to wait for food and beverages which makes them restless and also leads to a lot of dissatisfaction.”

An insider said, “Many organisers have burnt their fingers on big parties as they do not break even. There are also too many complaints about lack of crowd management. For this reason small parties with manageable crowds are preferred.”
