Central funds for tourist spots

Nellore: Tourists bound for Pulicat Lake, the second biggest brackish water lake in India, Nelapattu Bird's Sanctuary and six other tourist destinations in SPSR Nellore district are going to have a pleasant experience in future as the Union government embarked on a mission to establish infrastructure and amenities for the tourists visiting these places.
The Swadesh Darshan division of Government of India (Ministry of Tourism) has sanctioned Rs 60.37 crore to provide infrastructure such as floating jetties, boats and tourist amenities as part of development of coastal tourism circuit in the district.
 
The tourist spots that are going to be benefited include Pulicat Lake (Irkam Island, Venadu Island, and Atakani Tippa), Ubbalamadugu waterfalls (near Tada), Nelapattu bird sanctuary, Nellore tank, Kotha Koduru beach, Mypadu beach, Ramateerdham temple and beach and Iskapally beach. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to set the foundation stone for the tourism circuit scheme on January 3.
