Vaiko releases book on Arignar Anna
Through his mighty pen, he taught the people that they had the power to change a government if it went against rules and regulations.
Chennai: Former Chief Minister, C.N.Annadurai (Anna) gave Tamil its pride of place in the world by his eminent writings, MDMK general secretary, Vaiko, said on Tuesday.
Releasing “Anna Arumai Anna”, a book written by VIT University Chancellor G. Viswanathan, Vaiko, quoting from the book, said Anna created awareness among common people through his writings such as Thambikku Kadithangal, articles, small plays, short stories and poems.
Citing from the publication, he said the former Chief Minister respected other parties and it was he who was responsible for an atmosphere of civilised politics in those days. He was “like the mighty Himalayas, but we are all like stones on the lap of the mountain” following the ideals of the leader and functioning as a worker.
