Hyderabad: In a move to clear the parking woes of the public in the Cyberabad commissionerate limits, the police came up with the idea of free parking places. As many as 49 locations have been identified, of which eight are completely dedicated for parking four wheelers. A majority of these locations allow parking only for two-wheelers, while a few allow both two- and four-wheelers. Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand on Wednesday issued orders making free parking places available for public. These free locations are marked by parking boards and signages.
“No fee will be collected for parking in this location unless specified by a local municipal authority.” said the commissioner in an official release. The 49 locations lie in the jurisdictions of 10 traffic police stations in Cyberabad. Of these, 10 are to be located are in Jeedimetla, eight in Malkajgiri, seven each in Balanagar and Madhapur, five in Alwal, three each in Kukatpally, Miyapur and Uppal, two in LB Nagar and one in Rajendranagar.
