Hyderabad: The principal special judge at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court at Hyderabad on Wednesday allowed a protest petition filed in the Raheja case and issued summons to all six accused including IAS officials B.P. Acharya, K. Ratnaprabha and L.V. Subrahmanyam, and IPS M. Gopikrishna.

ACB had earlier closed the case stating that there was not enough evidence against the accused in the case. The case pertains to allegations of allotment of the Mind Space Project to Raheja Corporation, Mumbai, without calling for tenders or conducting an auction.

According to the petitioner, advocate T. Srirnaga Rao, who is also the de-facto complainant, the protest petition had been filed under 202 CrPC against the IAS, IPS officials and other accused including P.S. Murthy, joint director (FAC) IT department, Neil Raheja, MD of K. Raheja IT Park, and Mr B. Rabindranath, head of Raheja Mind Space, Hyderabad.

The key allegation is that an MoU for allotment of land to the company at the rate of Rs 50 lakh per acre was signed in May 2002, prior to the issuance of the GO in June 2002. The policy was issued later to suit the MoU.

Another allegation is undervaluation of land to Rs 1 crore per acre instead of Rs 1.5 crore to Rs 2 crore per acre as per the previous allotments to IT companies in Madhapur.
