Vidya Balan returns home from hospital, rings in her birthday
The actress was admitted to a hospital after she suffered from acute pain in her back.
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who turned 37 on the New Year's day, has been discharged from the hospital and is not back home. The actress was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai after she suffered kidney-related issues.
The actress took to her official Twitter account to thank her fans for all the prayers and wishes.
Expressing gratitude to her fans for their wishes, 'The Dirty Picture' actress tweeted, "Grateful to be back home in time to bring in my birthday ...Thank You for all your love,prayers and wishes??.Happy 2016 to each of you."

Vidya garnered praise for her first hindi flick, 'Parineeta'. The actress is adored for films like 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai,' 'No One Killed Jessica and 'Kahaani'.
Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur had to cancel their plans to celebrate the new year. The two boarded the flight from Abu Dhabi, Vidya suffered from acute pain in her back.
Later, paramedics were called on board and she was taken to a clinic at the airport for an immediate treatment. Soon after that, they took a flight and returned back to the Mumbai city. Vidya was taken to Hinduja Hospital of Mumbai suburbs.
