Police nab four who kidnapped PU student
The police managed to rescue the kidnapped boy, but the accused escaped.

Bengaluru: The Yelahanka New Town police have arrested four men for kidnapping a PU student for ransom on Monday. The police managed to rescue the kidnapped boy, but the accused escaped.
The arrested have been identified as Naveenkumar, 22, Ajith, 21, Edwin, 24 and Damodhar, 20, a resident of Hosur in Tamil Nadu.
According to the police, on December 28, the victim, Vaidyanathan, a I PUC student was kidnapped for ransom around 7.30 am, while he was going to college along with his friend Nithish on his motorcycle. Upon receiving the information police rushed to the spot and on the basis of preliminary information a separate team was formed. Within a short period the victim was successfully secured near Doddaballapur.
Investigations reveal that the accused followed the victim in a rented Zoom car (KA 03 AB 5855) and stopped the victim who was on a two-wheeler near Harohalli Lake, following which he was forcefully taken into their car. After securing the accused it came to light that the accused were about to demand a ransom of Rs 20 lakh.
The accused were arrested by the police who have also seized a Zoom Car, a Maruti Omni, a scooter and a Pulsar bike, along with 4 mobile phones.
